UPAVON GOLF CLUB JUNIOR SECTION   

Upavon Golf Club Junior Section currently has forty members who enjoy the facilities of Wiltshires friendliest golf club. We hold many junior tournaments throughout the year and have teams entered into the Wilts knock-out Cup. One of our young juniors currently plays for the Wiltshire county Junior Team.

Coaching for the Junior Section is a high priority for the Professional Staff. Junior Members are entitled to a limited number of FREE one-to-one lessons throughout the year. Group coaching is also available. The cost is £3.00 per hour and clubs and balls are provided if necessary. For more details please phone the Proshop on (01980) 630281. 

2009 Junior Championship. This was played on Sunday 29th November 2009. Aswell as trying to beat the stiff opposition this year the Juniors had to also contend with the cold, windy, wet conditions on a depressing winters day. The 20 minute hail storm did not deter the gutsy Juniors who battled through to complete their rounds. At the prizegiving Richard Blake, Club Professional, apologised for the poor choice of date and assured the competitors it would be a nice warm day in 2010.
